Leigh Scott is a parenting facilitator with a private practice for over 35 years teaching skills to families that are geared toward joy, connection and well-being. Leigh is also a Guild Certified Feldenkrais® teacher and Practitioner and shiatsu massage therapist.
After decades of extensive study, she has combined psychology from leading mental health authorities and parenting experts, social neuroscience, and the Feldenkrais Method with her life’s experience as a parent and shiatsu massage therapist.
For the last five years, Leigh was a member of a collaborative study group with four psychologists, which focused on how to apply the most cutting edge social neuroscience and attachment research to their practices.
Some of Leigh’s favorite parenting resources are Dan Siegel’s many books, Dr. Becky Bailey’s, “Conscious Discipline,” and “The Love and Logic Parenting Program.” This work and her mindfulness-based practices led to Leigh’s unique method of parent education.
Leigh has two grown children and one grandchild. Her daughter Codie and partner Nate, and her son Nicholas and wife Kathy and baby, Ethan, live in NYC. Leigh and her husband Paul, live on their land in Livingston, NY, with their farm dog, Daisy, and one black cat.
